JISC MediaHub advisory board meets
The JISC MediaHub advisory board met virtually for the first time on the 4April to discuss its terms of reference and to allow members to get acquainted with each other. It provided a chance for Lorraine Estelle, CEO of JISC Collections to introduce JISC MediaHub alongside Rick Loup of EDINA. Scott Gibbens, our service representative also spoke about the JISC eCollections service and its sustainability.
Members focused their discussions on how to evaluate the platform and how to gather data from users to find out what new content they would like to be part of the platform – whether through the metadata and thumbnail harvesting that EDINA provides on the platform, or through JISC Collections licencing new content.
